Jaypur

Welcome to Jaypur, a hidden culinary gem nestled at 39A Parson's St in Banbury, UK. This Indian restaurant has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike, offering an authentic taste of Indian cuisine that leaves patrons raving about their dining experience.

The essence of Jaypur is captured in customer feedback that echoes the quality of both food and service. Liam Smilie describes it as his "favorite restaurant in the world," attributing its success to the dedicated team hailing from Birmingham, who infuse a passion for Indian flavors into every dish.

What can you expect when you walk through the doors of Jaypur? Here are some highlights:

  • Delicious Dishes: From the phenomenal Chicken Jalfrezi to a well-composed Set Menu that includes Chicken Tikka Balti, Lamb Tikka Massala, and Sag Aloo, the menu showcases a diverse array of Indian classics.
  • Value for Money: With generous portion sizes and dishes starting as low as £32.90 for a set menu designed for two, dining here is not only delectable but also economical.
  • Excellent Service: Reviewers often laud the friendly and attentive staff who ensure that every dining experience is pleasant. The efficient service means you won’t be left waiting long, even on busy nights.
  • Cleansiness & Ambiance: Patrons like J D appreciate the clean environment, making it a comfortable spot for casual dining.

While most reviews extol the overall dining experience, some customers, like Ben Hebert, have noted an abundance of coriander across a few dishes. This highlights the importance of personal taste preferences when indulging in Indian cuisine. Diners seeking a bit more heat are advised to communicate any spice level requests while ordering, as Daniel Fleming has pointed out that some spicy dishes may exceed the usual expectations.

In my own experience, visiting Jaypur evokes a sensory journey with every bite. The vibrant aromas waft from the kitchen, mingling with the sounds of cheerful conversation, creating an inviting atmosphere that beckons you to indulge. I was particularly impressed by the tender meat and the rich, layered flavors that characterize a well-executed curry. Each dish felt like a heartfelt tribute to the diverse culinary heritage of India.

In conclusion, Jaypur isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience that champions quality Indian cuisine with a personal touch. Whether you’re a seasoned fan of Indian food or a curious newcomer, Jaypur promises a delightful culinary adventure that will have you planning your next visit before you’ve even finished your meal.

This place is incredible. It’s my favourite restaurant in the world. The boys come down from Birmingham daily to run this place - we are lucky to have it.

Wakk down the street and found thus little gem. Clean throughout and happy to help staff. We went for the Set Menu B For Two Persons Price: 32.90 (when we visited) 1 Chicken Chat 1 Sheek Kebab 2 Papadoms 1 Chicken Tikka Balti 1 Lamb Tikka Massala 1 Sag Aloo 1 Pilau Rice 1 Nan We also had a 660ml bottle of Corbra and a Maibu and Coke. The food arrived quite quick for the amount of customers that where eating/ had ordered. Well it was loads of food for the price and we will definitely be back when we can. Keep up the great work.
